On 6 July 1987, the first episode of the BBC TV sci-fi series Star Cops was broadcast. Starring highly-regarded stage and screen actor David Calder as Commander Nathan Spring, it told the story of the International Space Police Force, investigating crimes as humanity begins to reach out to the stars. 

35 years later, the cast of the original series are reunited for six new audio adventures across two box sets, due to be released from November 2022.  

Joining David Calder are original series stars Trevor Cooper (as Inspector Colin Devis) and Linda Newton (as newly-promoted Acting Chief Superintendent Pal Kenzy) alongside Philip Olivier, returning as Inspector Paul Bailey.

Trevor Cooper added: “It was so disappointing when Star Cops the TV series was cancelled, so I never imagined the ineffable force of nature that is Colin Devis would still be fighting crime and pushing his luck 35 years later. 

“It’s so much fun to be back working with David and Linda, it’s like the Star Cops never stopped. It’s the most space fun you can have without an Orgasmatron!”
