It’s the near future, and mankind has expanded its presence in space. Maintaining law and order beyond Earth is the responsibility of the International Space Police Force, known colloquially as the Star Cops. Their leader is Commander Nathan Spring.
As one of the team reels from a shocking discovery, an accident investigation on an orbital laboratory becomes something more sinister. Kenzy and Alice find themselves drawn into conflict with its lead scientist.

Script editor Andrew Smith said: “It’s a real pleasure to welcome Nicola Baldwin to the Star Cops writing team. Nicola is an award-winning playwright whose plays include Woman From Mars, about the first British astronaut, Helen Sharman.
“One of the notes given to writers joining us on Star Cops is that the space stations aren’t the sleek types seen in regular sci-fi, but are more like the present day’s International Space Station, with weightlessness, clunky hinged hatches rather than sliding doors, and the like. The Mir station, where Sharman was stationed, was very much like this too.
“Nicola has applied her particular area of knowledge to this episode set aboard an orbital space station called the Sharman One, where zero-gravity experiments are being conducted. The Star Cops arrive to investigate what appears to be an industrial accident, but may be something else entirely. This is Nicola’s first script for Big Finish, but I’m sure it won’t be her last.”
